New Waste Collection Services

A new waste collection service is being rolled out across the Island starting this month – the aim is to increase recyling and reduce the amount of household rubbish that ends up in landfill.

Severe Weather

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for wet and very windy weather, valid until 13:00 on 3 Jan 2012.

This is likely to lead to travel disruption, and possible damage to structures – with debris on roads and possible road closures to be expected.

Please contact Isle of Wight Council if you need to report a fallen tree or other Highways problem on 821000. Power/electricity outages should be reported to UK Power Networks on 0800 783 8866. If your own home or property is damaged, check your home insurance documentation for advice.
