Co-option of New Councillor

At the meeting held on 6 June 2013, Mrs Sue Lyons, of Haselmere, Church Road, Havenstreet, was co-opted onto the Parish Council. This brings the number of councillors up to the full compliment of six. Sue can be telephoned on 882516, or by email, sumalyons@aol.com

The annual licence application for the Bestival, to be held at Robin Hill Country Park, Downend; and land at Coombley, Duxmore and Little Duxmore Farms, Arreton Downs, has been submitted to the Isle of Wight Council. The event is primarily over the week-end of 6-8th September 2013. The application can be viewed on the IOW Council’s website, at:

The site is just within the Havenstreet and Ashey Parish Council boundary, so the Parish Council is a formal consultee. The consultation period ends on 13th June, so this application will be on the agenda of the Parish Council meeting due on 6th June. Any parishioner wishing to have their views taken into account should submit them to the Parish Clerk on clerk@havenstreetandasheypc.co.uk by 5th June.
