An application has been submitted for an additional waste transfer station and recycling facilities at Lyn Pit, Briddlesford Road, Newport, IOW, to be incorporated within the existing site and recycling facility. It is situated opposite the entrance to the public tip at Lyn Bottom, so just falls within Havenstreet and Ashey Parish. The application is essentially for a an additional large, single storey, green coloured shed, to be used for sorting inert materials ready for recycling.
